HOW TO GET TO PEUCANG ISLAND

Peucang Island is located in the middle of Ujung Kulon National Park wilderness. To get there is only possible by Car than transfer by Boat. From the main city, Jakarta, take approximately 5-6 hours of land travel to Daplangu or Sumur district of Pandeglang – Banten. Then continue cruising by boat for about 2,5-3 hours from Daplangu or Sumur district.

Peucang island has a private charter car service from Jakarta to Daplangu or Sumur District or other options is by public transport Jakarta to Serang – Serang to Sumur for approximately total land travel is 8-9 hours.

To reach Peucang Island from Sumur is only possible by charter a boat. We can arrange this with options:

By traditional boat take about 2,5-3 hours cruising. By Speed boat take about 1-hour cruising.

WE HAVE A LAYOVER IN SUMUR. WHAT HOTELS ARE AVAILABLE?

Due to for safety reason, the latest depart for boat cruising from Daplangu or Sumur area is at 3:00 pm. So if you have a layover for a night, the Wisma Sarang Badak and Cinibung Resort are closest one.

Check in time is after 2:00 pm and Check-out time are by 11:00 am. Niki Peucang will do everything possible to accommodate you if you arrived before check-in time.

Due to no internet data provider, we only accept payment transaction by cash or transfer in advance (We recommend you to make an arrangement trip in advanced through our customer representative).

SEASON & WHEATER

You can expect warm temperature between 25-32 °C with some humidity during the day, and 28-23 °C at night. Peucang Island is located in the tropics, the dry season is in April through October and rain & humidity in November – March.

WHAT SHOULD WE BRING?

Tropical strength sunscreen. Mosquito repellant, Trekking shoes or anyshoes suitable for jungle trek or even for walking along the coral sand beach, Personal Medical care, Personal skincare.

COMMUNICATION & ELECTRICITY AT PEUCANG ISLAND

Peucang Island is a quiet remote area, there is no internet data service or wifi provided. Only available for phone call connection for “Telkomsel” provider.

The electricity only depends on Generator and it only operates from 6:00 pm – 6:00 am daily. Make sure you charge your personal equipment during the night time.

WHAT’S AROUND PEUCANG ISLAND

In- situ conservation of 700 plants with 57 species rare plants have ever recorded, 35 mammals including Javan Rhino, Banteng, Sumatran Dhole and Java Leopard, 5 primates, 270 avifauna, 59 reptile, 22 amphibians, 72 insects, 142 fishes & 33 coral reef.
